A Christmas song and my best wishes for my readers

As I’m certain most of you have wonderful, waist-widening, under-the-mistletoe-lingering, too-much-family-togetherness-loveliness, and (I hope) joyous festivities to enjoy this week–or at least something not involving the internet and blog reading!–I’ll be taking this week off as well. Next blog post will be on Monday, December 29th.

In the meantime, enjoy this video of Casting Crowns performing my favorite Christmas carol, I heard the Bells on Christmas Day. If I recall correctly, Longfellow wrote it after hearing of a friend’s death shortly before Christmas. It’s a beautiful reminder that even in a world filled with grief and suffering and turmoil, there is hope! So for all of you mourning or dreading or sad, be comforted. Hugs and prayers to you.

May you have a joyous holiday.
